The house faces due south with magnificent views from the front door and all the windows. The house and barns sit either side of an extremely quiet road that forms the farmyard. There is plenty of parking for several cars either in front of the house or a few yards down the road. Shallow stone steps lead up to the gated patio and the walled garden to the side of the house has sloping lawns, a small stream and shallow pond, benches and mature trees.
A stone bench beside the front door is a perfect spot for a cup of tea or a beer while admiring the view
The farmyard is a public road, so visitors should be aware that cars, animals and farm vehicles do come through the yard from time to time and children/pets should be supervised accordingly.
The barn across the road has a full size table tennis table, table football, a dart board and seating.
There are plenty of walks straight from the house – footpaths behind the house lead across farmland from where you can reach open fell within a few minutes.
Please note: The house is part of a complex of farm buildings and barns which, apart from the play barn, are not part of the let. A large Victorian barn is used by a local roofer and builder for storing slate as well as a local farmer for storing agricultural equipment.
